Lomography Neptune Convertible Art Lens System

Serial Kickstarter company Lomography has once again returned to the crowdfunding website to raise the required funds for their seventh campaign, the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System.

With still 28 days remaining on the campaign Lomography have already raised over $400,000 thanks to over 700 backers, making sure that the new lens system will progress to the next stage of manufacture.

With kits priced at $599, shipping is expected to take place during February 2018 for super early bird backers will receive a 40 percent discount off the recommended retail price. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the lens system which provides “Everything You Need on Any Photography Venture” says it’s creator Lomography.

Specifications include:

Three Prime Lenses, Two Aperture Mechanisms, One Lens System: Combine the lens base with one of three convertible front lenses for different fixed focal lengths — 3.5/35, 2.8/50 and 4.0/80 — and alternate between a wide range of stopless apertures and special aperture plates using just one lens system.

An Expandable System to Grow with Your Creativity: The Neptune Convertible Art Lens has unlimited potential, and we’re already designing new lens components with unique effects and possible focal lengths ranging from an ultra-wide-angle 15mm to a 400mm monocular. To join us for every step of this creative journey, our backers will be able to vote to decide which focal length we create next.

Stunning Sharpness or Beautiful Bokeh: Each lens component is handcrafted using the finest glass optics for exceptionally sharp images and strong, saturated colors — even at the incredible closest focusing distances of 0.25m/9.8” (35mm), 0.4m/15.7” (50mm), and 0.8m/31.5” (80mm). Soften the sharpness using the special drop-in aperture plates and edge your frame with delicate, beautiful bokeh.

An Ultra Compact Solution for Beginners and Professionals: Giving you all the flexibility you need with a choice of three prime lenses while keeping your gear small and lightweight, the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System is everything you’ll ever need on any photography or videography venture. With a sleek and compact design, it’s easy to transport and discreet to use.

Back on Kickstarter with a Brand New Invention: Six successful projects later, we’re back on Kickstarter with even more amazing deals and exciting add-ons. Backers will save up to 45 percent on the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System!
