It was about 4 years ago when LG showed off a 18-inch OLED screen capable of rolling up like a newspaper. At the time they promised larger versions in the future. True to their word, LG has just announced a 65-inch OLED that rolls up for storage when not in use. It’s a concept right now, but one day soon we may be able to buy one.
LG makes a point of touting the portability of a TV like this. You could just roll it up like paper and take it with you anywhere. You could watch a movie, pause it because you got an important call and just roll it up and bring it with you. Then finish your movie somewhere else. Or take it with you anywhere. It doesn’t get much thinner than this. This display is 4k too.
You might be wondering what that white box on the bottom is. That’s kind of like the TVs home base. When you are not watching it, you can roll it up and put it inside where it is out of sight. Tidy people and neatniks will love that feature. We may all be able to own one sometime soon. Who knows when.
