You may remember that LG released its Music Flow speakers back in 2015. They were among the first to have support for Google’s Cast platform. But the company hasn’t really added any new features since then.
Many customers wanted the company to add support for Google Home and multi-room audio. Well we waited and they confirmed in January that the Music Flow Google Home and multi-room audio update will arrive by the end of February. Yes, it missed the deadline, but LG has finally released the update.
Better late than never. Google allowed manufacturers of Cast-enabled devices to add multi-room audio support to their products last year, but LG kept quiet about its plans of adding the same feature to Music Flow. Sony also confirmed that Google Home support would arrive soon as well.
LG promised to have the update out by the end of February but it didn’t deliver. Music Flow owners have been waiting for the update to arrive. Well, that wait is now over. Users can finally take advantage of the multi-room audio feature as well as use the grouping feature in the Google Home app. It took some time, but at least it is here now at last.
