LG announced the LG G Flex not long ago. It is basically the company’s version of Samsung’s Galaxy Round, with it’s curved display. Rumor on the street has been that LG is planning a global launch for December and thanks to a recently leaked image by @evleaks, it would appear that we are looking at a press rendering for the device that will appear on Sprint’s network.
The G Flex is expected to make its way onto multiple carriers, so if this rendering is accurate, it looks like Sprint will be one of them. We have also heard reports that the G Flex could make its way to AT&T and T-Mobile as well, because there was a sighting of the device at the FCC. It should be noted though, that none of the major carriers in the US have officially announced the device’s availability at this time.
The handset is already available in Korea. The Samsung Galaxy Round has sold about 10,000 units so far, which is not very encouraging, however the curved display isn’t for everyone. It will be interesting to see how well the LG G Flex will do. Maybe they can do better than Samsung.
