Selling stuff online is easy. Many people prefer eBay. Just create an account, list your product and wait for someone to bid. Hopefully several people will bid and make you rich. But what if you don’t want to do any of that, easy as it is?
eBay has announced a new service for those who want the money without all of the work. The service is called eBay Valet and it works through a mobile application that is only available for iOS at the moment. The service looks like it is a rebranding of eBay’s Sell for Me service, which gives users the ability to shift the responsibility to someone else. For a fee of course. There’s always a fee.
The app connects users to “eBay experts” or valets that will take care of the entire process for you. All you have to do is take some pictures of the stuff you want to sell and a valet will estimate the price. If you like that price, ship it to the valet. Simple as that. You will be sent a box and free shipping labels. The valet will take professional pictures(Which are better than yours hopefully) of the item and list it on eBay. When it sells you can collect 70 percent from the sale two weeks after shipping. eBay gets 30 percent. Not bad if you are lazy or don’t have time to do it yourself.
