While many of us prefer to keep toilet talk under wraps and avoid having a potty mouth, in South Korea they take their toilets very seriously. To celebrate these miracles of flushing waste, the Korean city of Suwon has just opened the Restroom Cultural Park, the world’s first toilet-based theme park.
In fact, Suwon’s former mayor is known affectionately as “Mr. Toilet,”. He promoted a national campaign to upgrade public toilets to their current high standards of today. He even built his own home in the shape of a giant porcelain toilet, and it now will be the main building of the Restroom Cultural Park.
The park will teach you about the history of toilets, different types of toilet equipment, and you will find a guide to the most beautiful public conveniences in the Suwon area. Even toilet art.
