Nintendo’s latest handheld gaming console hasn’t exactly been a hit with gaming fans, Nintendo recently dropped the price of the console in an attempt to boost sales, but it would appear that this isn’t enough to keep investors in the company happy.
Investors in Nintendo want the company to start developing games for other platforms, which would include Apple’s iOS platform and Google’s Android platform.
Both platforms are becoming increasingly popular for gaming and many gamers are using their smartphones and tablets instead of dedicated handheld gaming consoles.
Nintendo could generate massive additional revenues by releasing games for Google’s Android OS and Apple’s iOS, but the companies CEO has said that this won’t happen whilst he is in charge.
