We live in amazing times. Computer processors are more powerful than ever. The next step in their evolution? How about a wine-powered processor? Intel is taking yet another step forward in processor technology by showing off a prototype that is so energy efficient, it can be powered by a single glass of wine.
This is possible because of the acetic acid in the red wine which can produce enough energy to power the processor. It is like powering a light bulb using potatoes as batteries.
Maybe one day you will be able to recharge your devices with a good drink. It will be interesting to see what kind of processors we will be using just a few years from now.
