Instagram is rolling out a major redesign for its website for desktop and mobile. The new look is designed to put the spotlight on photos which is pretty important when it comes to Instagram. This updated Instagram website has the most major change to profile pages on the desktop, which will now display three large images in each row instead of the five smaller images in each row that it displays right now.
The redesigned look is much cleaner overall and gets users attention on those photos. It makes a lot more sense.
The grid of cover images that were previously displayed at the top are gone now. Most of the rounded edges and borders are also gone. Circular profile pics are in however. Some users are sure to like that. The new layout will spread across profile pages to hashtag pages too, and some design changes will also make it on mobile profiles and the desktop feed. The company says that it’s going to roll out the new design to pages starting now. All users should expect to get the redesigned website by the end of this week. Hopefully most people will like the changes that are coming.
