Hulu is going Disney this year in a big way. If you ditch cable, Hulu is one of the best ways to stay on top of new TV episodes from major networks right after they air. So you get stuff right away and don’t miss anything. Well, Hulu also has its fair share of movies, and now has the rights to some films from Disney, including movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mulan, Pocahontas, Hercules and Sister Act, all of which are available to stream right now.
This will please Disney fans and no doubt up Hulu’s subscriber numbers.
About 50 movies will make their way to Hulu. Others are coming soon and these include Con Air, Step Up, Gone in 60 Seconds, Pearl Harbor, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion and The Mighty Ducks. The partnership seems to be focused on family movies mostly, though there are some dramas and thrillers as well. Hopefully, this partnership will lead to more of Disney’s newer, high-profile content hitting Hulu. This is a great move for Hulu, when you consider that its competitors are focused on original content right now. Hulu may become the king of Disney movies if they keep this up. We will see what happens.
