You certainly have your choice of streaming services that you can subscribe to if you don’t want a conventional cable service. However, since Netflix doesn’t do what Sling TV can, the cost of subscribing to all of these services can quickly add up. Things can get expensive.
Hulu is looking to take advantage of this by cutting its subscription price. If you are interested in joining Hulu, you can now do it for $6 per month. This promotional price will be locked in for an entire year too.Not bad.
Hulu offers two subscription tiers. For $8 per month you get an ad-supported version which provides access to all of the content but includes ads. The ad-free version will cost you $12 per month. Well, it has now reduced the price of the ad-supported version from $8 to $6 per month. There is a catch. Isn’t there always? Hulu has restricted this promotional pricing to new subscribers only which means if you’re an existing subscriber you will have to continue to pay $8 per month for the same service. Which kinda sucks. Does loyalty count for nothing these days?
New subscribers who join Hulu now will get the $6 per month subscription price for one full year after which they will pay $8 per month like everybody else. They will still have to watch ads.
