Hulu has added the fifth largest broadcast network to its standalone online TV streaming service. Hulu’s Live TV service already offers Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC. Now the CW will soon be available for live streaming on Hulu’s internet TV streaming service.
The CW has many popular shows like Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash for instance. If you subscribe to Hulu’s online TV streaming service, you will now be able to watch a linear stream of the channel live.
That isn’t all that Hulu is planning. They are also going to add local station broadcasts so subscribers can see the same programming online that they will receive when watching over-the-air. We don’t yet know when The CW will go live on its service, though. Likely very soon.
We only know that Hulu subscribers will be able to stream The CW “in the coming months.” The current season of the network’s shows will be available on demand so we know that this is an added benefit for subscribers. Hulu has been improving its live TV streaming service and this is just one of the steps they have taken. A while back it announced support for PC and Mac, while confirming that it’s working on a better browser-based version of the service. Hulu Live TV is looking better.
