Earlier this month, it looked like the HTC smartwatch would finally be unveiled. Even Evan Blass (@evleaks) said that the timepiece would be unveiled during the week of June 6th. But sadly, HTC has decided to delay the introduction of its wearable, again, according to a tweet from Blass.
When can we expect it now? Now it is looking like it won’t see the light of day until the fall.
For those of you keeping track, this has been the third or fourth time that HTC has reportedly been ready to introduce its smartwatch, only to have the unveiling delayed. Needless to say, this doesn’t bode well for the timepiece. In September 2014, the manufacturer was said to have pulled the device for good. Four months later, production of the watch was apparently back on.
Aside from changing the date, over the years there has reportedly been a change in the device itself. Originally it was said to feature a square display, but the last we heard was that the HTC smartwatch would have a 360 x 360 circular display. Is there anything not confusing about this device?
Perhaps some time in the future, the HTC smartwatch will be unveiled. We won’t believe it until we see it.
