We had previously heard that the HTC One S Android 4.2 update would be released some time this year. Bad news for owners of the handset as HTC have confirmed that the HTC One S will not get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
HTC gave a statement on the HTC One S Android 4.2 update to the guys over at MoDaCo, and confirmed that the device will not be getting any more updates, you can see the statement below.
We can confirm that the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense. We realize this news will be met with disappointment by some, but our customers should feel confident that we have designed the HTC One S to be optimized with our amazing camera and audio experiences.
Not the best news for owners of the HTC One S, especially considering that the device is already on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
