Android’s SVP officially announced the HTC One Nexus experience device at the D11 conference. It is an HTC One with stock Android 4.2.2. The device will have 32GB of internal storage and will be available on June 26 through the Google Play store in the US only. The price is $599.
That’s 50 dollars cheaper than the Google Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which will also start selling on June 26.
This new smartphone will feature an unlocked bootloader and receive Android updates directly from Google. It has the same hardware as the regular HTC One, including the Snapdragon 600 chipset with four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. It be available in only Silver initially, but maybe more options will follow.
