Android head Sundar Pichai has confirmed the HTC One Google Edition. Even though we knew better, HTC had tried to deny the existence of the device, but even so the rumors persisted. Now we know that the device is real and it’s on its coming soon.
Pichai announced that the HTC One without Sense will be coming to the Google Play Store on June 26th. It won’t exactly be stock Android, because it needs to integrate Beats audio for the sound, but it is pretty close.
The device will be competitively priced at $599 for a 32GB model, which is $50 less than the 16GB Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition. It’s all official now.
