HP and Best Buy have this week announced the arrival of the HP Split x2 hybrid tablet at Best Buy retail stores throughout the US and is priced $50 cheaper than purchasing the HP Split x2 directly from the HP website.
To re-cap the HP Split x2 is fitted with a 13 inch HD Diagonal LED-backlit touchscreen sporting a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and has been designed to be used with the supplied full QWERTY keyboard as a notebook or easily detached to create a tablet.
The HP Split x2 tablet is also fitted with a 128GB solid state disk (SSD) with 500GB HDD and can be powered by a choice of either Intel Core i3 or i5 processors supported by 2GB of RAM, however there has been no word on pricing or availability of the i5 version at Best Buy.
Other features of the new HP Split x2 tablet include front-facing HP TrueVision webcam with integrated digital microphone, MicroSD reader, Combo audio jack, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, HDMI and SD card slot.
