Fans of the Hitman series were happy last year when a new Hitman game was announced. The game is supposed to be a throwback to the older Hitman titles as far as gameplay is concerned. The game was originally scheduled for a release in December 2015, but now to the dismay of gamers it looks like it has been delayed. But the news is not all bad.
According to the game’s developers IO Interactive, the game has now been delayed to March of 2016. The reason for the delay is because they’re trying to pack in as much content as possible for the release, which is not a bad reason to delay a game. They respect the gamers.
“We’re going for a new release model where we put out a good chunk of the game when it begins and then release the remaining locations over time.” They also added, “These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone.” That additional content will be free of charge. So all of this actually seems like good news.
This confirms what IO Interactive said before about how they would not have anything like season passes. You really have to admire their dedication to the gamers.
