As fans know, Hitman: Absolution was initially released for Xbox 360 back in 2012. Sadly it’s not compatible with Xbox One so you can’t just pop the disc in and play the game on the new console. But we have some good news on that front. Some news that fans of the game are going to love.
IO Interactive has confirmed that Hitman: Absolution is coming to the Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature that was switched on for the console last year. The feature allows studios to bring their Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One.
In case you didn’t know, Hitman: Absolution follows Agent 47 as he takes his most dangerous contract yet. He’s betrayed by the people he once trusted and the police are now hunting him down. He’s also at the center of a dark conspiracy that takes him through a dark and twisted journey.
It’s a game that fans love and Xbox One owners will be glad to be able to play it once again on their new console. We don’t have an estimated release date just yet, but it is coming and that is good to know. Now you can relive the game on the current console.
