Last week during BlizzCon 2015, Blizzard announced their latest Hearthstone expansion: League of Explorers. The expansion was scheduled for a release on November 12th and sure enough it is live.
Blizzard says, “In order to access The League of Explorers once it goes live in your region, please restart your Hearthstone client.” This is Hearthstone’s fifth expansion, the previous expansion was The Grand Tournament back in August.
The Grand Tournament which introduced a ton of new cards, but The League of Explorers is a solo adventure like Blackrock Mountain and Curse of Naxxramas. The game will introduce new cards, but the main focus is defeating dungeon bosses in card battles, to get a few special cards.
The League of Explorers will go a step further by introducing new mechanics and class challenges to the game. If you can’t wait to get in on the action, it is priced at $19.99 for the entire game. Hearthstone is a fun game and very addictive. It’s great because you can play however often you want without it taking over your life like WoW. It is challenging and exciting. I think it is one of Blizzard’s best games ever. If you haven’t played it, go check it out.
