Those who are familiar with Netflix know that streaming services have long had binge watching features where episodes will play back to back until you are done. This is done automatically so that at the end of one video, the next video will play, so you can just veg out on your couch and not lift a finger.
However,it is interesting to note that this simple feature was not made available to HBO’s mobile HBO Go app, at least not until now.
Prior to this, users were encouraged to watch one episode at a time, but if you want to binge watch shows, this update will allow you to not only pick up where you left off, but it will keep streaming episodes in a series until you’re done. Why it took so long we have no idea, but it is here now.
It is odd though, because HBO Now has had this functionality for quite a while. Even YouTube will sometimes let you do this.Anyway, the app has been updated for both iOS and Android and should be live now. This will make HBO Go a whole lot better for binge watching your favorite shows. It is about time too.
