If you were very sad about being left out of the initial Harry Potter: Wizards Unite launch, no worries my wizarding friend. Chances are that you are good now. Niantic’s augmented reality sorcery game is now available on Android and iOS in 25 more countries.
These countries include Canada and Mexico in the Americas and several European and Scandinavian countries like France, Ireland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden. Not to mention several other places around the world, such as India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Unfortunately, this still leaves many countries out of luck for the moment. This is because the company is using a strategy similar to what it tried with Pokémon Go, where it staggers the release so that servers won’t get bogged down as millions of players hop online at the same time. The good news is that Niantic is likely much better-prepared this time around — it can introduce more countries knowing how much it can handle.
Harry Potter fans everywhere are eager to get in on this augmented reality game. If you live in a place that still doesn’t have the game, it shouldn’t take long. Soon you will be at Hogwarts casting your spells and having fun adventures.
