We have some good news for Halo fans. It has been confirmed that Halo 5: Guardians is going to get a new content browser for the Forge editor. The content browser for the Forge editor was unveiled at the Halo panel at the RTX gaming convention, over the weekend.
We have a screenshot of the content browser that was shared through the official Halo Twitter account, that says that it “takes finding and sharing incredible community creations to the next level.”
The content browser will allow Forge creators on Windows 10 and Xbox One to easily share content like custom game modes and maps with other players.
We have already heard that they plan to release a free version of Halo 5 Forge editor for PC players running Windows 10, it will be released through the Windows Store.
This will also let PC players take part in Halo 5 multiplayer games even though there won’t be any matchmaking features available.
Players will have to wait for Windows 10 with the new content browser later this year in the fall. It will also be brought over to the Xbox One as a free upgrade during the same time. This will be something that fans of the game will love. We just have to wait for it to arrive.
