Do you have a turntable or two lying around in the attic collecting dust? Maybe it’s time to turn them into something cool and new, like a drawing machine. Robert Howsare is a printmaking MFA student at Ohio University and he made this one for less than $50 with two turntables he already had.
He also used a few planks of wood, some binding screws, machine screws, old records, and a sharpie mounted on a clothespin. He calls it the “Drawing Apparatus”. It’s fun to watch, I’ll give him that.

Watch the video to see the drawings that it is capable of. It’s pretty neat
What else are you going to do with those old turntables? Think of it as a modern day spirograph toy that you can make yourself. So, who is going to make one?
