Most people probably like the cream center in Oreo cookies. Not inventor David Neevel. He hates that soft stuff in the middle. So, he decided to create a machine that can remove the cream center and save himself some trouble.
Neevel shows off his machine in this video endorsed by Nabisco. It is made from scrap aluminum, wood, a hatchet and floss. The machine was built in his Portland, Oregon garage.
He says that the machine took about two weeks to build and that he didn’t see his girlfriend or dog for hours at a time. You have to admire his commitment. He really really hates the cream center.
