Mechanics, makers or anyone else that uses a wide variety of tools on different jobs may be interested in a new flexible tool that called the Grypmat, which has been designed by mechanics to revolutionise your workflow and help you get the job done more efficiently.
Watch the video below to learn more about the Grypmat which is launched by Kickstarter this month and is now coming to the end of its campaign, having raised nearly 9 times its required pledge goal thanks to over 1000 backers.
Tom Burden the creator of Grypmat explains little more about the features and functionality of the flexible tool Matt.
An essential tool for the trade professionals, mechanics, tinkerers, gadget junkies and DIYers alike. The Grypmat is a multi-purpose product that will keep your tools and hardware in place, no matter where you want to put them. A high-performance, flexible, non-magnetic, non-slip, chemical resistant, anti-static, rubber tool mat. A mechanic’s Best Friend.
To suit a wide range of needs, the bright orange Grypmat is available in three sizes: large, medium and small. The small Grypmat consists of six compartments that keep hardware organized and within an arm’s reach. The medium is designed to help keep more hand tools together in close proximity, and the large Grypmat is an improved design of the original and is perfect for more advanced jobs that require a bunch of tools.
Once you’re grinding away on the project at hand, though, those tools can get in the way. Naturally the engine, car body, plane wing, or whatever you’re working on is typically the easiest place to put them. But by their very nature, these places make lousy workbenches. They’re curved and painted – and things just don’t stay where they are put. And no one wants to waste any more time looking for that lost tool or part that rolled off and ran away, sometimes scratching the surface of your vehicle as it rolls.
