Reports are suggesting that Google are currently “actively exploring” the possibilities of developing its very own smartwatch, a source close to Google has revealed to the Business Insider website.
This new information adds weight to the rumours, together with the recent patent Google secured for its smart watch with a flip-up display. For a watch that contains a a processor, a wireless transceiver, and a tactile user interface.
Designer Adrian Maciburko has put together a rendering of what he thinks the new Google smartwatch might look like pictured above. But as yet no images or drawings have been released by Google for designs regarding their smartwatch, which has yet to even be confirmed exists by Google.
Smartwatches and their development are becoming more popular every day, and with the most prominent Pebble smartwatch now shipping, could it only be a matter of time before Google launches their own smartwatch? Unfortunately no information worldwide availability has been released as yet by Google, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
