Google has opened up six pop-up shops across the United States. The company is calling these stores Winter Wonderlabs. These temporary stores are meant to promote Google’s own devices, as well as those heavily associated with the company. The centerpiece of these shops are large snow globes that can record slow-motion video of attendees surrounded by digital snow. So what else can you expect?
Well, all of the stuff you would think to find at a Google shop. Items like the Google Nexus 7 and the Chromecast HDTV dongle will be on display, as well as Chromebooks and demos of Google Play services. The Winter Wonderlab store will also let customers order devices, though it is not clear if deliveries will be to your home or if they will be available for later pick-up at the store.
Either way these shops will show off all of Googles goodies and should convert many users who don’t currently use them. Not to mention that it should increase Googles sales. The Winter Wonderlab is located in New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Sacramento. If you live in those areas it might be a fun outing to go check it out.
