With Google Glass, privacy concerns are on everyone’s minds. After all, a Glass user can easily take a pic or record anyone without them even knowing. And now privacy officials from six countries have requested privacy information related to Glass.
Privacy commissioners from Canada, Israel, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico have all asked Google what it will do with the data collected by Glass. It’s a valid question especially in light of current events.
Google says that this product is still in its early stages, but they’re thinking “very carefully” about how they design Glass. Still, people want some concrete answers and reassurance. We will have to see how Google proceeds with this device and these concerns. I don’t see how they can alleviate anyone’s concerns with this device.
