Google only just announced its new Chromecast HDMI dongle, but it first surfaced in May when a mysterious device identified as H2G2-42 leaked in FCC documents. Back then there were no other details, but the documents have been updated.
Updated to now include a few pictures of the Chromecast with the casing removed. There isn’t a whole lot to the device, it is dongle sized after all, but there is some cool stuff to see. Like a Marvell DE3005 chip, with Azurewave hardware to handle its WiFi for instance.
Anyway, it’s always fun to peek inside devices. Can you believe this device is only $35?
