If you ever made a call to a business and were put on hold you know that it can take a long time, depending on the nature of the call. There’s some good news. One of the upcoming features of the Google Pixel 4 is that it might be able to hold the call for you and let you know when it’s time to come back. That’s a cool feature.
A recent report claims that a source says that Google could be introducing a new feature to Google Assistant for the Pixel 4. When you are placed on hold, there is usually some background music, so a button will now appear on the screen that will tell Google Assistant to takeover the call on your behalf.
So you can go about doing other things and when the caller gets back on the line, Google Assistant will let you know that you need to take the call. Even though it is a Pixel 4 feature, it might not necessarily launch with the device though.
The feature is still in early development so while it might be announced at Google’s Pixel event, it might not be here for launch on day one. Hopefully Google will have more details soon.
