Peter Molyneux is a well known game designer famous for titles like Theme Park, Populus, Dungeon Keeper, Black and White, and Fable. Even if you don’t know the name, you know the games. Molyneux’s games are strategic, making the player focus on creating a proper environment for the people in the game to function. You could call them God games.
This year, the designer came back with another title in this genre. It is called Godus and it puts you in the role of…well, God. The almighty. A deity.
You have to look after your followers, nurture the land, allowing your creations to grow and prosper. Maybe part some red seas occasionally. Godus arrived on mobile back in August, when it was released on iOS. In fact 22Cans developed the title with mobile devices in mind, which is why manipulating the game environments with your fingers feels natural.
Now Android gamers can get their God on too. 22Cans has released Godus on the Play Store. It is free to play. The game has its own in-game currency. So this means that at some point you will hit a bottleneck, forcing you to either wait for an amount of time for something to be built, or to pay up and keep progressing in the game. However, the paying will be via the in-game currency. However again, in-game currency can be obtained by spending out-of-the-game currency. Doh.
