If you are in the market for a cheap nettop or netbook to use in your home or office the Genesi Efika MX smarttop and smartbook might be worth a look. Both of the machines have had their prices cut to more affordable levels.
The MX Smarttop is an ARM based solution with a Freescale i.MX515 processor inside with 3D graphics processing. The smarttop has 8GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and WiFi along with a memory card reader. The new price for the machine is $129.
The Efika MX smartbook is also powered by an i.MX515 processor and has 3D graphics. The machine sports a 10.1-inch screen with LED backlighting and 1024 x 600 resolution. It has 16GB of storage, WiFi, and lots more. The machine can also be optioned with a 3G modem as well. The standard version now sells for $199 with the 3G version at $249.
