If you use the Mail app in Windows 10 you’ll want to get the latest update for the app. Microsoft is launching a more comprehensive dark mode for the Mail app that includes the dark hue for the email part of the app. The previous behavior meant that the app would show a white background in emails instead of black. So this makes for a much-improved user experience.
No worries about missing anything. Since some email content could be obscured when full dark mode is enabled, Microsoft added a toggle in the app so that you can easily switch between the dark and light backgrounds in the body of emails.
The toggle and the dark mode are similar to the one available in Outlook.com. Microsoft added it in July of last year and it’s now matching it in the Mail app for Windows 10. The calendar portion for the Mail app already has a full dark mode while the Calendar app for Windows 10 also has a full dark mode. Users will appreciate this new feature if that is what they prefer.
Microsoft is now rolling out the latest update for the Mail app in Windows 10. You can download it from the Microsoft Store if you like to go dark.
