Competitive online games can be tough, especially if you’re new to the game and have no idea what you’re doing. This can lead to players getting frustrated and quitting before they’ve really had a chance to play the game properly. To help ease new players into Fortnite, Epic has recently announced that they will be introducing bots to the game.
Epic says, “In the next Season, we are adding Bots to Fortnite. They will behave similarly to normal players and will help provide a better path for players to grow in skill. Bots will work in conjunction with the new matchmaking system, and as your skill improves, you’ll face fewer Bots.”
These bots will be in games where new players are present to help make it easier for them to learn the game, but as you get better, fewer bots will be included. Epic also says that bots will not be part of the Competitive playlists, so for more seasoned players, this will not affect you at all.
It is actually causing some controversy with players, but if it does work out the way Epic intends, it should not affect seasoned and pro players at all. We’ll have to wait until the next Season to see what happens.
