There’s more Star Trek available for streaming for diehard Trek fans. Not from Netflix, but from Amazon Prime. Amazon is adding five classic Star Trek movies to Prime Video in the US on July 31st. Two of these movies come from the cast of the original series (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country), while the rest are from the Next Generation crew (First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis).
It is a good batch of movies that fans love. It could be a good way to catch up with Captain Jean-Luc Picard ahead of his new streaming series that is coming soon.
This is great news for fans who have to deal with an incomplete movie lineup on Prime. Watching Trek online isn’t easy. You have to go to Netflix to watch the pre-streaming shows, but Amazon has the movies. Then CBS All Access is where Americans have to go to watch streaming-only shows like Star Trek: Discovery. That could get pretty expensive if you’d rather not use discs or videotapes to relive your favorite moments.
More Trek is always good and these are some decent movies on Prime. Live long and prosper my friends.
