The latest patch for Fallout 76 is massive. You may want to keep an eye on your data cap We’re talking a huge 47GB. Bethesda warned us that this patch would be bg and it certainly wasn’t lying. The first major patch for the title is now out and it brings some much-needed improvements and fixes to Fallout 76.
The patch is 47.258GB on the PlayStation 4. This is version 1.02. Remember, the game took up 53.04GB on the console before this patch and now occupies 53.23GB after the patch. So the update replaces much of what was there already.
It is a similar size on the Xbox One. Players on PC have only a patch size of around 15GB. Bethesda assures us that future patches for consoles won’t be as huge as this one.
This patch fixes many bugs like the Bureau of Tourism bug and it also makes various performance tweaks. There are also some changes to PvP as well to improve the game.
Bethesda says, “Regular updates will always vary in size, but future updates should be much smaller in comparison,”. It plans to update the game on a regular basis with patch notes that make it clear what each update does. It’s good that it’s improving things so fast.
