I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been on Facebook reading some of the status updates and comments left by friends and acquaintances and really wished I could respond with a picture. I felt an overwhelming need to respond to some posts friends have made via meme on more than one occasion. The catch is always been that if you try to paste in a photo link as a comment, that link is all people see.
You have to rely on the people you are commenting with to click the link and see how incredibly appropriate and humorous your meme answer really is. The good news is that Facebook began rolling out a new camera button this week that allows you to reply to status updates using an image. I have my grumpy cat meme sized and waiting right now.
The feature launched globally starting on Wednesday coming first to the web and the company’s mobile website. If you’re like me and tend to use the Facebook application on your iPhone or Android device, there is no indication of when the photo comments will be coming to the mobile applications. I’m sure the feature is coming to the company’s apps, we just don’t know when.
