Bad news for fans of Fable Legends. Lionhead Studios has announced that it’s delaying Fable Legends open beta until next year. It had initially planned to release the open beta during the holiday season, but the studio felt that it would be better if it extended the closed beta in order to get more feedback from the community. You can’t blame them for wanting to make sure it meets players expectations, but the wait is ticking some gamers off at this point.
People have been waiting for a long time. The closed beta has been running since 2014 and it will continue to do so. Lionhead Studios is going to send out an additional 100,000 invites for the Fable Legends closed beta over the next few weeks. Those who have been waiting the longest will be prioritized. If you want to get in on the closed beta you can sign up at the game’s website. Good luck.
The studio says that the team behind the game is working “exceptionally hard” to improve the unique and innovative multiplayer experience that combines RTS and RPG gameplay, which allows players to use their gear seamlessly across platforms like Windows 10 and Xbox One.
The closed beta is happening 24/7 and it is adding more features, quests, creatures and heros all the time. They hope to open it up for everybody in the spring of 2016.
