This will roll out in the US this summer. eBay also redesigned its home page to provide a more personalized experience as well.
Customers will love this. eBay points has 1.1 billion items listed at any time, and 67 percent already ship for free and 63 percent arrive within three or fewer days. With “Guaranteed Delivery” items, eBay will either refund the shipping or give you a coupon if they don’t arrive on time. Like I said, customers will love it.
You can even filter searches based on one, two and three-day delivery. Qualified sellers will have new shipping tools so that they can give buyers more accurate delivery times. This is necessary for eBay since Amazon can deliver an item within an hour and let you track packages to an exact spot on the map. If you want to compete you have to keep up. The new home page is more Amazon like now. It will be interesting to see how this allows it to compete with the big A.
