Recently EA and DICE released Battlefield 4 and shortly after, Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts had its release as well. It’s not unusual for 2 games in the same genre to be released at the same time, but in this case it was very intentional.
One QA tester at DICE claims that EA rushed through Battlefield 4’s quality assurance phase just to make sure that they would be able to release the game ahead of Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghost. Rushing a game like this isn’t a bad thing, but when it comes at the expense of quality, that could be a problem. We don’t know if the QA tester’s claims are true, but if you’re interested in the finer details, you can check out the exchange on Reddit.
Most games are released with bugs and glitches that get patched along the way. That’s just common practice. Otherwise nothing would ever get done. But some games are so rushed that they are a mess. I haven’t played the game yet, but what do you guys think? Does Battlefield 4 seem rushed? If you believe it does, this might explain why. Or maybe you think that the game is perfect.
