This week the Droplr file sharing service has announced that they will be closing and discontinuing their free Droplr accounts and moving their Droplr file sharing service to a paid only subscription service for users.
Droplr is expected to next week announce new features that will be added to the file sharing service which have been under development for some time and have been requested by users in the past.
All current free Droplr accounts and new sign ups will be placed on a 30-day trial, then at the end of the 30 days, customers will be asked to pay for a Droplr subscription.
Current holders of free Droplr accounts and trial member not wishing to pay, will not be able to upload any more files, but none of the existing data within the account will be deleted, and all links will continue to work.
“As a special thank you for being a Droplr user we are also going to offer you a 30% lifetime discount on any of our paid plans. We’ll have 2 plans to choose from, Droplr Lite and Droplr Pro. Additionally, we’ll be announcing a new referral program where you can earn Droplr Pro for free.”
