Sony PlayStation 4 owners have some good news. Evolution Studios’ Driveclub was supposed to be a launch title for Sony’s new console, but back in October we learned that the game had been pushed into a 2014 release. Well, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed the Driveclub PS4 release date for all of us who were left wondering.
This highly anticipated title will be released for the Sony PlayStation 4 on October 7th, 2014. That is a delay of almost an entire year, but as Yoshida says “the problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way.” True enough. Let’s hope that it will be worth the wait.
He says that Driveclub offers some feats that have not been previously achieved in this category, so naturally the team needed more time to finish the game. He also says that the studio is committed to delivering on its promise of creating a truly “innovative, socially connected racing game.” We can’t wait to check it out for ourselves when it releases. I know that many fans are waiting for this one.
