The Dragon Quest VII remake was announced in October of last year. Square Enix waited until the project was pretty far along before making it public, so we only had to wait four months for the launch. Which is good. We all hate a long wait. And fans of this series were more than ready for the game.
Last weekend Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden, was released in Japan. And now there can be no doubt that this series is still popular. The first week of sales figures tell the tale. 836,654 copies were sold by the end of the first week ending February 10. The game was released on Thursday, February 7, so that’s just four days worth of sales.
It has likely passed the million sales mark by now and will keep on climbing.
