Sony’s PlayStation 4 console will launch on the 15th of November, which is tomorrow, however a few lucky people have already gotten their hands on the device through pre-releases for the media or by being competition winners. So we don’t know much about any issues that the console may have, but among these people there have already been reports of the console bricking.
This is happening despite the blue pulse appearing when the console has been switched on, and aside from that nothing else will load. These could be isolated incidents, but if this is an issue, Sony needs to address it right away. There is a fix for those affected by this however, according to a post on Reddit.
If your PS4 has this problem, don’t freak out. Just unplug your HDD, boot the console without the HDD, switch it off, plug the HD back in, and boot it up. The console will then boot into Safe Mode and you should be able to recover the necessary OS data. Hopefully we won’t hear about this problem affecting many consoles, since the PS4 will launch tomorrow . That would be bad news for Sony and new console buyers.
