Netflix became available on Dish set-top boxes way back in December of last year. So it’s been around for awhile on the service and people has obviously been enjoying it. Now they have made the experience even better for their subscribers. The satellite provider is improving the integration between its platform and the video-streaming service in a way that users will appreciate, no matter where they watch.
Starting today, Dish customers who have a Joey receiver in their home can start watching Netflix content across different rooms. This means that if you start an episode of say, Orange is the New Black on your living room’s Hopper DVR, you can pause it and continue watching it in your bedroom. You could even pause it and go back to the living room if you wanted and are feeling indecisive. No? You really want to lay in bed and watch? Okay, back you go.
It switches rooms seamlessly as long as there’s a Wireless Joey receiver. Now you can watch stuff wherever you are in the house and not miss any of the action. Aside from that, Dish also added Vevo, which lets you check out on-demand music videos, to Hopper apps.
