Diablo 3 fans have been waiting for this bit of news. If you want to be a part of the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls beta, here’s your chance. Blizzard has announced that the closed beta of the Diablo 3 expansion has now begun. Blizzard had already launched a beta where only selected friends and family could participate, but with the closed beta being launched, this means that regular gamers like you and me will be able to take part.
Blizzard will tell you how by opting into the beta test in your Battle.net Profile Settings page. That doesn’t mean that you will be guaranteed a spot, but at least you will be considered and you will be notified if you are chosen. You can probably expect the game to be buggy, and there could be changes made during the course of the beta that might not reflect the final game’s release. That is all part of a typical closed beta though.
The game is scheduled for a 2014 release. We just don’t know when in 2014. This expansion will introduce several new features like a new Crusader class, new areas, new monsters, new skills, and a new artisan. It should be a fun game once all is finished.
