Blizzard revealed last year that Diablo 3 would be arriving on consoles like the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360. That’s good news for gamers who want to play the game, but not so good news if you want to buy a next-gen console like the PS4 and the Xbox One, because Blizzard has stated that availability for next-gen consoles could take a while.
Well, at this date we already know about the game’s availability for the PS4 but what about the Xbox One? Will you get to play the game on Microsoft’s new console? Well if we go by listings by some retailers, they seem to indicate a big yes. A listing on Argos’ website has revealed Diablo 3 for the Xbox One. Customers can even pre-order the game for a 2014 release.
It may also be possible that Diablo 3 will be an exclusive to the PlayStation console for a certain amount of time, and that is why Blizzard made the announcement during Sony’s PS4 event. Blizzard has released a very telling statement to the folks at Eurogamer however, “One of our goals is to bring Diablo 3 to as many players as possible, but we don’t have any other platform announcements to share at this time.”
It sounds like it will happen in due time.
