Today the first DLC for Destiny, titled The Dark Below, will be released for the game. However, it looks like there are some problems with the title. It seems that some players are being locked out of the game on the PS4.
We haven’t heard anything official from Bungie yet, explaining the situation, or what is causing it to happen, so for now we’ll just have to wait and see what the developer’s response will be. For now these gamers are on their own. Hopefully they will offer a fix soon.
There is however a fix is being shared online for players who have a digital copy of Destiny installed on their console, but this is just a temporary fix. Apparently the problem begins after The Dark Below DLC has been purchased. Once the purchase is made, the entire Destiny game is blocked and a countdown time is shown which is ticking down to the time when the first DLC goes live. The image shows what happens after purchase. This is not a great way to thank gamers for their purchase, that’s for sure.
So far we have heard no complaints from those who own the disc version. If you own a digital copy, deleting the game, downloading it again and reinstalling it seems to fix the problem for now. I hope they get it sorted quickly.
