Big things are happening in Destiny. Bungie has revealed why it decided to drop support for last-generation consoles for the upcoming Rise of Iron expansion. It is simply because Rise of Iron is going to bring significant changes to the game. You are going to love these changes.
Destiny is getting private matches, support for clans, even tournaments with prize money that are hosted by players.
With private matches, players are completely in control of their personal arena even if they’re not the ones playing. You can create everything from a competitive showdown to a controlled stage for stories. It’s up to you to decide whether the game you host is going to be competitive or casual. You are in charge.
All private matches will take place in a personal clubhouse which will have the name of the Clan that controls it. Players don’t need to be in a Clan to host a match but it’s easier to fill a lobby when you have an active roster of players, that’s for sure. These changes all sound pretty great and players are sure to enjoy them in the game. Especially when it comes to tournaments. I can’t wait to see it happen.
